Cleveland Cavaliers to add Dionte Christmas to training camp roster

PHILADELPHIA – The Cleveland Cavaliers will add shooting guard Dionte Christmas to the roster as a camp invite, league sources informed Northeast Ohio Media.

Once Christmas passes his physical on Saturday, the one-year non-guaranteed deal would become official.

Christmas is a 29-year-old shooting guard who played his collegiate ball at Temple University. He went undrafted in 2009 and has 31 career NBA games under his belt all with the Phoenix Suns during the 2013-14 season. Most of his time has been spent overseas.

The addition of Christmas means Cleveland has to waive a player. They have a 20-man training camp roster, the maximum the league allows.
