OAKLAND -- Scribbles in my notebook after the Cleveland Cavaliers lost, 124-114, to the Golden State Warriors in overtime in Game 1 of the 2018 NBA Finals:
1. In my column right after the game, I wrote about how I was mad about the Cavs loss -- for a few reasons. Several hours later, the frustration is even worse. It starts with the Cavs being in terrific position to upset Golden State on the Warriors home court. LeBron James did what was necessary, from scoring 51 points to drawing a key charging foul that was bizarrely overturned with 34 seconds left.
