The Cleveland Cavaliers have finally resigned fan favorite backup point-guard Matthew Dellavedova to a 1-year qualifying offer for around $1.2 million. Some had speculated he may not be back given the growing tax burden and the acquisition of backup point Mo Williams, however the Cavaliers managed to sign him on for the cheap and maintain a bigger chunk of their championship core.
Dellavedova is a 24 year-old guard originally from Australia but who played for St. Mary’s in California. For a while he was simply an unknown the Cavs signed on a gamble playing some spare minutes at 1 behind Kyrie.
