The Cavs jumped out to a huge lead in the third quarter and left the Amway Center with a 131-127 victory. The Cleveland Cavaliers had been struggling to win many games after going on a 13 game winning streak—dropping four of their last five. Fortunately, they were going up against a Magic team that was in complete disarray after their hot start in the beginning of the season.
The first half of the game was pretty competitive with the Cavs clinging on to just a three-point lead. When the second half started, the Cavs defensive intensity picked up and they closed the third quarter out with a 20 point lead, dropping 40 points in the quarter.
