CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Here is what I know about the David Griffin situation:
1. The Cleveland Cavaliers general manager is under contract until the end of June.
2. The Cavs probably won't grant any other team permission to talk to Griffin during the playoffs.
3. While there have been some on/off discussions, there has been nothing close to Griffin and the Cavs coming to an agreement on a contract extension.
4. The natural time to sign Griffin would have been last summer, probably when coach Tyronn Lue signed his new contract.
