WASHINGTON, D.C. – Second-year Cavaliers guard Joe Harris will undergo surgery on his right foot next week in Indianapolis, a source confirmed to cleveland.com.
His agent Mark Bartelstein told ESPN, "There is an extra bone in his foot that is causing irritation, and the plan is to have it removed."
Harris, 24, has been experiencing foot pain since the start of the season and recently re-aggravated it to the point where he had to sit out a practice last week. Upon successful surgery, the expectation is his return wouldn't be for 2-3 months, a source said.
But since he's not a rotation player, there's no urgency to get him back on the court.
