CLEVELAND, Ohio -- My favorite Cleveland Cavalier teams were those in the late 1980s-early 1990s.
Part of the reason is I covered them for the Akron Beacon Journal. I got to know Mark Price, Larry Nance, Brad Daugherty, Hot Rod Williams, Ron Harper and Craig Ehlo very well.
The same with role players such as Winston Bennett and Mike Sanders.
They had a Hall of Fame coach in Lenny Wilkens and a solid front office.
But they didn't have No. 23 ... Michael Jordan.
Five times, Jordan's team wiped the Cavs out of the playoffs.
