The Cleveland Cavaliers will sign Derrick Williams for the remainder of the season today, according to Tom Withers of the Associated Press.
In the latest bit of basketball irony for the Cavs, Williams be signed for the remainder of the season on the day that he plays against the team that released him. The same team that LeBron James left in 2014 to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers. A team that slighted James’ friends in Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in the offseason.
This, just a day after Kyle Korver hit a record-breaking three against the team that traded him to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Atlanta Hawks.
