On a team unsure of their future, the Cleveland Cavaliers really only have one competitor in the Rodney Hood race, the Sacramento Kings. The Kings still have $11 million worth of cap space after signing Yogi Ferrall and Bjelica.
It’s likely that an offer of $11 million would be immediately matched by the Cavs and their front office. They believe in Hood even after a tumultuous, drama-filled postseason. A restricted free agent, Hood’s current offer sheet is a little bit over $3 million.
With a player of Hood’s capabilities, he should easily be hitting over $10 million.
