After a relatively quiet first 12 hours, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers made the day’s first blockbuster trade. Just after the clock struck noon, ESPN’s Adrian Wajoanrowki reported that the two teams reached an agreement.
The Cavaliers will be sending Isaiah Thomas and Channing Frye to the Lakers, and in return, the Cavaliers received Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. The Cavaliers also added in their 2018 first-round pick with protections that have not been released yet.
As for the trade, Isaiah Thomas will get to play alongside pass-first point guard Lonzo Ball, unless he is bought out.
