Instead of working to keep LeBron James in town, the Cleveland Cavaliers did what they had to do, allowed James to departure and drafted Collin Sexton, instead of trading the No. 8 overall pick.
Sexton seemed to be the Cavs favorite all along, but with players like Trae Young, Wendell Carter Jr. and Jaren Jackson off the board at No. 8, we will never know what would’ve happened had a few of those names dropped.
However, according to the summer league, the Cavs might’ve hit a home run. Sexton was named the Las Vegas Summer League’s All-Rookie first team along with players like Josh Hart and Wendell Carter Jr.
