The announced target for the Sixers is small forward Kyle Korver. However, the Cleveland Cavaliers might have other things in mind as well as they begin to rebuild in the post-LeBron era.
Per Sixers insider Jon Johnson, the Sixers are “eyeing a shooter.” Craving a shooter and aiming for a 37-year-old Korver is a smart move by the Sixers, but could they be forced to give up more than they’re willing to.
As Pompey details, the trade for Korver involved Philadelphia sending Jerryd Bayless to Cleveland. With Sexton, Hill, and Clarkson on the roster, it’d almost guaranteed that Bayless would be waived.
