Cavs sign Derrick Williams for remainder of season

Playing for his fifth team in six years, Derrick Williams didn't know how many more opportunities he was going to get in the NBA, regardless of his talent.

So when the second overall pick in the 2011 draft was waived by the Miami Heat on Feb. 6 and he signed the first of two 10-day contracts with the Cavaliers three days later, he vowed to take a different approach. But he didn't put too much pressure on himself.

"No, no. I kind of put myself in that scenario," Williams said after Friday's victory over the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena.
