Cleveland Cavaliers general manager Koby Altman and the team’s leadership are amid what will still seem to be a long head coaching search, and we’ve touched on the reported names involved as candidates, along with the reported names that have already been interviewed for that job here at KJG.
With the head coaching search and the team’s two draft picks in the 2019 NBA Draft appearing to be the major focus of this summer/offseason, it doesn’t appear that Cleveland will and should be too active in free agency.
Altman, as we’ve noted, did a good job over the course of the 2018-19 season of accumulating future assets, as he acquired an additional five second-round draft picks in coming years, along with two first-round draft picks, from trades involving veteran players.
