The Cleveland Cavaliers had to have been shocked when team owner Dan Gilbert was reportedly hospitalized due to stroke-like symptoms back in late May, and he did reportedly suffer a stroke then when hospitalized at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
That was really tough to hear at the time as a fan of the Cavaliers, and I’m sure that was so difficult for Gilbert himself, his family, and so many others, including those involved with Gilbert’s many real estate and business ventures, along with the Cavaliers’ organization.
It was good to hear, though, that Gilbert is reportedly back home in the Detroit area now after being in a rehabilitation center in Chicago for eight weeks in relation to recovery from the stroke he suffered, according to Crains Detroit’s Chad Livengood (and h/t WKYC’s Ben Axelrod).
