The Cleveland Cavaliers have been among the league’s worst teams the past few seasons, slowly rebuilding their base of young talent after four straight seasons of contending for a championship drained it out. That has meant that the Cavs have often been at the bottom looking up at others in the standings.
That isn’t always a bad thing. Losing is difficult, for players, coaches and fans alike, but it does pay dividends in the NBA. Adding young talent, especially for a small-market team like the Cavs, is best accomplished through the draft.
