CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Cavaliers are likely going to sign veteran guard Dahntay Jones on the final day of the regular season for the second year in a row.
Hey, it worked last time.
Jones, 36, is working through a contract agreement with the Cavs, according to a league source, to take the place of DeAndre Liggins, who was waived Sunday.
Jones was signed on the final of the 2015-16 campaign and wound up playing a bit role for the Cavs in their Finals' triumph over Golden State. In the conference finals against Toronto, Jones infamously punched Bismack Biyombo in the groin and was fined -- and LeBron James agreed to pay it (about $80).
