The Cleveland Cavaliers are going to miss Channing Frye as a teammate and floor-spacer next season.
We’ve touched on that a number of times, but on Sunday, there was another reminder of it.
While the veteran’s numbers last year weren’t ones that flew off the screen (3.6 points per game on 50.4% effective field goal shooting in 36 appearances in 2018-19, per Basketball Reference), he clearly was beloved by the players in the locker room and the organization, and always seemed to provide levity, based on what many have said about him.
That sort of thing would apply to former Cav Richard Jefferson and Kevin Love, especially, and you could constantly see it in postgame interviews with Frye.
