The Cleveland Cavaliers haven’t have much of a sample size to evaluate Patrick McCaw, who they recently added to their roster. Nonetheless, they are reportedly “planning to waive” McCaw, per Shams Charania of Stadium and The Athletic.
The 23-year-old guard only played in three games for Cleveland, but the Cavs chose to move on from him given that the league’s deadline for non-guaranteed contracts becoming guaranteed is Monday, as was demonstrated by Cleveland.com’s Chris Fedor.
“According to sources, the Cavs didn’t see enough from McCaw in a limited time to justify guaranteeing his contract for the remainder of the season.
