CLEVELAND: Forward Tristan Thompson replaced Mike Miller — who stepped into Kevin Love’s shoes in Game 1 — in the Cavaliers’ starting lineup for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Chicago Bulls Wednesday.
The move created some morning buzz after being reported by multiple outlets Wednesday. While Thompson didn’t validate the reports, he offered a perspective on getting a start.
“I’m always going to be ready. My job is pretty simple — just come out and play hard and be an energy guy,” he said.
It’s that energy and subsequent offensive rebounding that gives the team its spark when he hits the floor.
