INDEPENDENCE: LeBron James and Kyrie Irving have made a habit of closing out victories for the Cavs. They combined to score all 24 fourth-quarter points in a win over the Boston Celtics earlier in this postseason, but the two stars struggled to close out Monday’s loss to the Chicago Bulls in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.

James and Irving combined to shoot just 4-of-12 in the fourth quarter and neither scored in the game’s last six minutes. Part of that might have been fatigue.
