INDEPENDENCE: LeBron James and Kevin Love are expected to opt out of their contracts later this month and become free agents, General Manager David Griffin said Thursday, although he expects both stars to return to the Cavaliers.
“I think everybody who has the potential to opt out in this climate probably will, and I anticipate that we’ve created the kind of environment and culture that they want to be part of,” Griffin said. “I have no reason to believe that any of those players don’t want to be back.”
The Cavs have plenty of contract decisions to make in the coming weeks.
