Cleveland- On Saturday night the Cleveland Cavaliers opened up Rocket Mortgage Field House to begin their 50th season without a familiar face. This past off-season, the Cavaliers lost a very important piece of their franchise this past off-season, Fred McLeod. The long time announcer passed away unexpectedly, and Saturday night the Cavaliers did their best to remember him.
McLeod’s wife Beth came up with the excellent idea of gifting some of Fred’s ties out to those in the media Fred had a relationship with. Since the NBA season began earlier this week, people from around the league shared their pictures with the gifted ties, and Saturday night it made its way to Fred’s favorite place.
