CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Cavaliers have claimed forward Tyler Cook off waivers, Cavaliers General Manager Koby Altman announced today from Cleveland Clinic Courts. Cook was under contract with the Denver Nuggets as a Two-Way player before being waived and will remain under that contract with the Cavs. Cook joins Dean Wade, who signed as a Two-Way player with the team on July 9.
Cook (6-9, 255) appeared in two games for the Nuggets this preseason. He went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft out of the University of Iowa, where he played in 93 contests (92 starts) over three seasons, averaging 14.
