John Henson has shown in his career that he can be a great rim protector. His insane listed 7-foot-6 length and quick feet allow him to protect the rim from the weak side with ease.
The Cleveland Cavaliers were hoping he could provide some good defensive minutes off the bench last season, however, a reported torn left wrist ligament derailed his year and he didn’t play at all with Cleveland in 2018-19.
Per Basketball Reference, Henson currently sits 12th among all qualified active players in blocks per game (1.5 per game). He’s had three seasons in his career where he ranked in the top 20 in blocks per game (12th, 9th, and 12th).
