Are the right people doing the Baseball Hall of Fame voting? Sports Podcast

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- With every mention of the Baseball Hall of Fame comes an endless stream of debate and controversy.

Electing players to the sport's shrine will always be a subjective task, but the presence of the steroid era makes things even murkier. Jeff Bagwell, Tim Raines and Ivan Rodriguez joined the illustrious group in Cooperstown this week, but that was only part of the story.

The vote totals for Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens continue to rise. Curt Schilling received fewer votes in 2017 than in 2016. So did Sammy Sosa.

Next year, all ballots will be made public, so there will be no hiding for any voter with a preference to conceal his or her choices.
