All of Cleveland, Ohio and the fans of the Cleveland Cavaliers franchise felt their heart drop when LeBron James chose to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers.
It was met with incredulity and, in a lot of cases, anger. Not the type of fury that leads to jerseys being burned in the streets but the anger you would expect from a scorned lover.
Considering the 11-year relationship between James and the Cavs and even the 4-year-long “break,” in which Northeast Ohio and Cavs fans were watching James from afar, that makes perfect sense.
Nonetheless, everyone has had that feeling when they enter a new relationship and realize that their new partner might not be as great as their ex-partner.
