The Cleveland Cavaliers got a pretty good season out of young guard Collin Sexton in his rookie season in 2018-19, as the 2018 eighth overall pick was second among qualified Cavs in scoring with 16.7 points per game, per Basketball Reference.
It did take time for Sexton to get his footing, as KJG contributors have often referenced, but Sexton turned things around offensively, though, and seemed to be more sure of himself in the last few months of the season. The playmaking wasn’t fantastic, as Sexton only had 3.0 assists per game in his first year, but his decision-making did improve as the season progressed.
