As the team shops Kyrie Irving following his trade request, the Cleveland Cavaliers have landed some notable point guard help. Derrick Rose has agreed to sign with the team.
Derrick Rose has committed to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers and completed his physical exam today, league sources tell The Vertical.

Rose won't get much in terms of money, but he will get a chance to boost his value this year. If Irving is dealt, Rose is in position to take over as the Cavs' starting point guard. If not, he'll be key player off the bench. Rose will sign a one-year, $2.1 million deal.
Rose also had interest from the Lakers. The Knicks renounced him as a free agent to make room for Tim Hardaway Jr. earlier this offseason.

Rose averaged 18.0 points, 4.4 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game for the Knicks last season. However, various injuries have sapped some of the ability from the former NBA MVP.
