Cavs Weekly: Cleveland Hits First Down Point Of Season

The Cleveland Cavaliers ran into their first speed bump of the NBA season this week, losing three of their last four games. LeBron James has called out the team for a lack of focus, hoping to end this slide before it gets worse. Let's get you up to speed with the week that was and the week ahead with our Cavs Weekly update:

Last Week:
Coming into the week on a four-game winning streak, the Cavs had it snapped immediately in a 118-101 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks as Giannis Antetokounmpo tied a career-high with 34 points. Cleveland may have been looking ahead to their Thursday night TNT matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers, but they were blown out in that game, too, falling 113-94.

That was the first game of a back to back, as the Cavs went to Chicago to take on the Bulls on Friday night. LeBron had to pay off a World Series bet to Dwyane Wade, and dressed up in a full Cubs uniform before the game. It didn't help Cleveland on the court, however, as they suffered their third straight loss in a 111-105 defeat - despite James putting up 27 points and 13 assists.

It was after that game where he called out his team, saying the "honeymoon stage" of being NBA champions was over, and they needed to start playing like a championship team again. His teammates heard the message and responded in a big way, getting the 116-112 win over the Toronto Raptors.

What's Next?
The Cavs will look to get back to back wins on Wednesday against the New York Knicks, before returning home for a pair of back-to-backs. They will host the Miami Heat and Charlotte Hornets on Friday and Saturday, respectively, which will be followed by a back-to-back, home-and-home series with the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday and Wednesday. Read more Cavs news in the Chat Sports iPhone and Android apps.

Injuries:
Guard J.R. Smith is listed as day-to-day after suffering a knee injury in their win over the Raptors. He will not play against the Knicks.
