Cavs Notebook: Cleveland Riding Four-Game Win Streak

The Cleveland Cavaliers snapped two-game losing streak with a win over the Suns last Monday and haven't looked back, carrying a four-game win streak into the new year. Let's get you up to speed with the week that was and the week ahead with our Cavs Weekly update:

Last Week:

The Cavs closed out a four-game road trip at Phoenix on Monday and at Denver on Tuesday, pulling out close victories in both games. Kyrie Irving hit a big three with 21.9 seconds left in the fourth quarter to lift Cleveland past the Suns 101-97, while LeBron James' 34 points carried the Cavs past the Nuggets by a score of 93-87.

Cleveland then got 2016 started with two blowout home wins, knocking off the Orlando Magic on Jan. 2 by a final score of 104-79 and the Toronto Raptors 122-100 on Jan. 4.

What's Next?

Cleveland starts a six-game road trip on Wednesday when they take on the Washington Wizards. They'll face the Timberwolves on Friday, 76ers on Sunday, and Dallas Mavericks next Tuesday.

Injuries:

Reserve shooting guard Joe Harris is expected to miss two-to-three months after having surgery on his right foot.

Point guard Kyrie Irving is playing, but still recovering from a fracture kneecap he suffered in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Expect him to sit out of one game of back-to-backs for the remainder of the season.
