The Cleveland Cavaliers had little trouble for the second straight game against the Toronto Raptors. The Cavs cruised to a 108-89 win over the Raptors Thursday night to take a 2-0 series lead. The Cavs have now started 10-0 in the NBA playoffs, one shy of the NBA record.
LeBron James led the way for the Cavs with a triple-double. He posted 23 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. He was 7 of 13 from the field and 9 of 17 from the free throw line. It's the 15th triple-double of his career in the playoffs.
Cleveland got to the free throw line early and often, a stark contrast to the Raptors' night at the line. The Cavaliers were 25 of 37 from the charity stripe, while the Raptors were just 14 of 18.
The other two members of the Cavs' Big 3 produced as well. Kevin Love had 19 points, while Kyrie Irving led the team with 26 points. Three others had at least nine points, including J.R. Smith's 12 points.
Toronto got the game it needed from DeMar DeRozan, but Kyle Lowry struggled. DeRozan had 22 points and five boards on 8 of 18 shooting to lead the Raptors. Lowry had 10 points, but was 4 of 14 from the field and just 1 of 8 behind the arc. The other Raptors reached 11 points.
Game 3 of the series is Saturday in Toronto. Tip-off is set for 8:30 p.m.
