The Cleveland Cavaliers fed off of a frenzied home crowd at Quicken Loans Arena to take an early lead, and were able to maintain that throughout the first half and grabbed a 44-37 lead at the break. They then broke the game open in the third quarter, building a 20-point lead, but Golden State went on a huge run to cut the lead to one with three minutes left in the fourth quarter.
However, Cleveland responded with a 8-0 run of their own to quickly regain control and held on for the hard-fought victory.
