Cleveland built a comfortable lead early in the first quarter and maintained it for the rest of the half as they led 56-48 at the break. Boston went on a run in the third quarter to cut the lead to one, but the Cavs responded with a run of their own to regain control of the game. The Celtics threatened again late the fourth, but Cleveland held on for the win.
The Cavaliers now lead the series 3-0, which is bad news for the Celtics as no NBA team has ever won a series after losing the first three games.
Turning Point:
Cleveland went on an 11-0 run in the third quarter after having the lead cut to one, allowing them to get momentum back on their side.
Key Stat:
Boston needed a big shooting night from long-range to have a good chance to win tonight, but they were unable to do so. The Celtics shot just 5/19 from beyond the arc, good for a measly 26.3 percent.
Cleveland MVP:
LeBron James put on the dominant performance we've come to expect from him as he finished with 31 points and 11 rebounds. Kevin Love also had a great game with 23 points and nine rebounds.
Boston MVP:
The Celtics got a big boost from Jae Crowder (16 points) off the bench, but it was Evan Turner's near triple-double (19 points, eight rebounds, eight assists) that had the biggest impact for Boston.
What's Next?
Boston will try to keep their series alive with a win in Game 4 on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET. The game will be televised by ABC.
