Cleveland absolutely dominated the start of this game, opening on a 21-0 run that threatened to break the game open. However, the Hornets fought back and cut the Cavs' lead to 54-45 at halftime.
Charlotte continued their comeback at the start of the third quarter, but Cleveland responded and regained a comfortable lead as they cruised to another victory.
Turning Point:
Charlotte cut Cleveland's lead to 59-57 with eight minutes left in the third quarter, but the Cavs closed the quarter on a 21-11 run put themselves back in control of the game. The Hornets never threatened again after that, as they used all their energy to get back in the game.
Key Stat:
Cleveland outrebounded the Hornets 43-37 in this one, which is usually a weakness for them (rank 21st in the league in rebounding). That gave them an advantage in an area they're usually at a disadvantage, which led to the easy win.
Cleveland MVP:
LeBron James continued his ridiculously high level of play, finishing with 27 points and 13 assists. He was complemented by Kevin Love in this one, who finished with 22 points of his own and 18 rebounds.
Charlotte MVP:
Point guard Kemba Walker was the only player who was productive offensively for the Hornets, as he finished with 24 points, five rebounds, and five assists.
