Cleveland Cavs: Kyrie Irving, Dion Waiters prepare to watch playoffs

Despite a disappointing season for the Cleveland Cavs as a whole, young guard tandem Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters are looking forward to watching the 2014 NBA Playoffs as incentive to make the field in 2015.

According to Bob Finnan of the Morning Journal, veteran guard Jarrett Jack overheard Irving and Waiters "daydreaming about playing in the postseason. They were talking about attending some NBA playoff games, just to see what all the fuss was about."

“These guys (are) taking the onus on themselves to go do that and to go get better,” Jack says in Finnan's article. “This is getting better without dribbling the ball or stepping between the lines. This is these guys trying to get better on the cerebral side.  Things like that go a tremendously long way.”

Jack hopes that the bonding experience can go a long way in establishing Dion Waiters and Kyrie Irving as one of the elite guard duos in the league --

“(Maybe they can) create that type of relationship that people don’t see and people don’t necessarily need to know,” Jack stated. “I don’t know if I’m supposed to speak on that. But these are the things that go on behind the scenes that people don’t know.”

If Waiters and Irving can come up with something this offseason, Cleveland Cavs fans could have a lot to look forward to next season and perhaps beyond.
