There is a very strong chance for LeBron James to return to the team of Cleveland Cavaliers by 2014 as reported by Stephen A. Smith. According to Smith who filled in as host for The Michael Kay Show, the forward of New York Knicks Carmelo Anthony might opt out of the contract by the following year.
In addition to this, he added that LeBron might also consider signing for the Cavs by next year and can also be open to signing up for the Knicks. James may be signed for 2015-2016 but he can still be allowed to get out of the final couple of years for his deal and eventually become a free agent by the following year.
With the 50-50 chance that Carmelo might go for the LA Lakers, the possibility for LeBron to head back home for Cleveland is high too. In line with this possibility, Smith added that since James lives in Akron during the offseason, the four-time MVP might want to get in touch with his Cleveland fans too.
Other players who have the same structure of contracts and have the ability to get out of their deals for the next season include Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade.
