In today's Cavs rumors update, Minnesota Timberwolves star Kevin Love is still interested in a potential trade to the Cleveland Cavaliers, despite LeBron James signing a two-year contract today with an opt-out clause for 2015.
According to Marc Stein of ESPN.com, the slim possibility that James could leave after one year isn't scaring off the perennial NBA All-Star from a potential extension if he were to be dealt to the Cavs:
ESPN sources say LeBron's contract structure is unlikely to deter Kevin Love from wanting to commit to Cavs if Cleveland can indeed land him

Despite Love's interest, the Timberwolves might be asking for the wrong player if they're really looking to get a deal done with the Cavs:
Sources say KLove remains "intrigued" by chance to join LeBron with Cavs. I'm told Wolves, though, still asking for off-limits AWiggins — Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) July 13, 2014
Sources close to James are indicating that the only reason why James opted for a two-year, $42.2 million deal is in order to take advantage of a projected spike in the 2016 salary cap thanks to a brand-new NBA national television deal.
James reportedly fully intends to re-sign, but wants to take advantage of a max contract with extended value if he has the chance. Love most likely knows this, and thus remains interested in a potential move to Northeast Ohio.
