Cleveland Cavaliers forward Shawn Marion did not make the trip with the team to Detroit to undergo an MRI on his injured left hip.
Marion, 36, plans to retire after the season, but has seen his playing time dwindle while dealing with a strained hip in recent weeks.
He is averaging a career-low 4.9 points in 20 minutes per game this season, but has been praised by Cavs head coach David Blatt for his leadership.
