LeBron James has encountered a litany of questions and criticisms from members of the media and otherwise since his return to the Cleveland Cavs, and he finally has a question of his own for some of his critics.
"The question I have, which is kind of bothering me sometimes, is when a player decides to decide his own fate, there is always questions about it?" James said, via Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports. "And, 'Why did this guy do that, do that and do this?' When an organization decides to go elsewhere for a player, it's that they did what's best for the team. Let's figure that out some time."
James' words came after he dropped 30 on his former team, the Miami Heat, in his return to South Beach on Christmas Day. The Cavs lost the game, 101-91, and the emotions of his return and some of the scattered boos he heard perhaps took their toll.
When he was asked by reporters why he believes players are taken to task and not NBA owners, James said: "I don't know. I'm done."
The conversation may have ended for that night, but James brings up a very good question that maybe doesn't really even have a straight answer.
