The Cleveland Cavs were absolutely besieged by the injury bug over the past seven days, losing Anderson Varejao for the season (Achilles), while seeing Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, Shawn Marion, and now Kevin Love hobbled by various ailments.
While James and Marion were held out of Tuesday's loss to the Atlanta Hawks, Love played 24 minutes before having to be subbed out in the third quarter due to back problems.
"My back didn't feel too great before the game, but it's just one of those things where it locked up on me," Love said after the game, via Dave McMenamin of ESPN.
The Cavs play the second half of a back-to-back on Wednesday at home against the Milwaukee Bucks. Love hopes that he'll be able to give it a go.
"I had one game earlier this year where it was a spasm but played through it and came back and played the next day, so I'm hoping it's the same thing, flying back [and playing] tomorrow night," Love said.
