The Cleveland Cavs may have been robbed of a true Big Three run through the 2015 NBA Playoffs, but the good news is that injured big man Kevin Love believes he'll be all systems go for opening night of the 2015-16 NBA season.
"I truly haven't even thought about it, but as I mentioned, I expect to be suiting up by Game 1 of next year," Love said on Sunday, via ESPN.
Love separated his shoulder in Game 4 of the team's first-round series with the Boston Celtics after Boston's Kelly Olynyk yanked down on Love's left arm and pulled it right out of the socket.
Shortly after the incident, Love called Olynyk's role in the injury a "bush-league play." However, he's markedly less angry about Olynyk's involvement after having some time to reflect.
"I initially was very emotional about the play," Love said. "I think everybody thinks, 'Oh, he's going to be able to come back, pop it right in,' but at the time when it happened, I kind of knew. And about a week went by, reached out to Kelly, sent him a text and said, 'Hey, it's all good. It was a tough play.' And we just move on from there."
