Cavs News: David Blatt Says Kevin Love Isn't A Max Player

The Cleveland Cavaliers fell to 19-19 on the season after a 103-84 loss to the Sacramento Kings last night extended their losing streak to five games.

After the game, head coach David Blatt had some harsh words to say about one of his star players.

Cleveland gave up the past two No. 1 overall picks, Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett, in the trade that brought Love to the Cavaliers, which indicates that the front office certainly thinks of Love as a max player, even if their coach doesn't.

Love was brought in to be the final piece of a new "Big 3" for the Cavs that would compete for multiple championships. They've fallen short of expectations this season, and it's become clear that Kyrie Irving and Love can't carry the team without LeBron James as they've lost eight of their last nine games since James got hurt.

If Love doesn't get along with Blatt (which looks obvious on the sidelines) or thinks he can't win a championship in Cleveland, he could opt-out of his contract after this season and become a free agent. He's averaging 17.9 points and 10.5 rebounds in 36 minutes a game this year.

This the latest incident involving Blatt, who has been the subject of various rumors surrounding his departure and reports that he's lost the locker room.

Cleveland's next game is Tuesday night in Phoenix against the Suns.
