On Tuesday David Stern and the NBA released the 2011 season schedule to the fans while on day 20 of the lockout. This move is obviously trying to keep interest in the league going for a little while. We may never see these games happen, but here is an overview of the top games on the Cavs schedule.
November 2nd Cavs at Boston:
Opening night for the Cavaliers. This game is in Boston but, if the season is played out full, then every Cavs fan will be in front of the TV watching this game.
November 4th Toronto v. Cavs:
The home opener will more than likely be sold out. This gives the chance to see newcomers Kyrie Iving and Tristan Thompson, obviously this game will be of interest.
Novermber 18th Heat at Cavs:
Lebron James comes home again. This game wont be as heavily scrutinized as last years homecoming on December 2nd, but after what he pulled the last game (Bathroomgate) fans will still be rowdy and ready to boo.
January 31st Timberwolves at Cavs:
This game will be the 1st time the number 1 pick, Kyrie Irving, and the number 2 pick Derrick Williams face off. It probably wont be the equivalent of the Magic Johnson-Larry Bird rivalry, but this may be a game to see who "won" in the draft.
April 18th Knicks at Cavs:
This is the final game of the regular season. Knicks will most likely already have a playoff spot at this time, but it might be fun to ruin their confidence a little and beat right before the playoffs.
Now, as I said earlier, hopefully the lockout will let these games be played.
