The Cleveland Cavaliers took an early lead in the opening minutes in front of their home crowd, but Golden State’s offense caught fire as they took a 28-15 lead after the first quarter. LeBron James led the Cavs back into it as they were able to cut into the Warriors’ lead to two at the half, but Golden State regained the lead - and control of the game - with a 16-4 run in the third quarter.
Cleveland did manage to cut the lead to four late the fourth, but Stephen Curry and the Warriors responded with clutch free throws to put the Cavs away and win the championship.
