As bad as the Browns have made you feel this season, let’s look back to a day when you felt even worse.
On Nov. 6, 1995, the team announced that it was leaving its Cleveland home for Baltimore.
Majority owner Art Modell tried to sound sad about the events on that day — while standing at the Maryland site where a new, $200 million stadium was going to be built for his team.
“This has been a very, very tough road for my family and for me,” said Modell. “I leave Cleveland, Ohio, [after] 35 years, and I leave a good part of my heart and soul there.
