BEREA, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns are aware of an arrest warrant issued for receiver Josh Gordon in a paternity case, the team said in a statement on Wednesday.
The Browns said Gordon and his attorney are "working with the Cuyahoga County Courts to resolve this matter."
Cleveland.com and WOIO Channel 19 in Cleveland reported that the warrant was issued Aug. 31 after Gordon failed to respond to several subpoenas over the course of a year demanding he take a DNA test.
The NFL did not immediately respond for comment. After a one-year suspension, Gordon was reinstated conditionally on July 25 by commissioner Roger Goodell, but also was suspended the first four games of the season.
