INDIANAPOLIS - Urban Meyer has been through a situation just like this one.
As he sat with NFL Network’s Rich Eisen and Mike Mayock on Saturday at the NFL Combine, the Ohio State coach reflected on 2008, when he was with Florida and a similarly large number of his players were invited to the league’s largest scouting event. As a college coach, it’s a double-edged sword of sorts.
“The good news is we have 14 guys at the Combine,” Meyer said. “The bad news is we have 14 guys at the Combine.”
One of the most noteworthy of those players is running back Ezekiel Elliott, whom many believe will be the first at his position selected in April’s NFL Draft.
