This year, the National Football League (NFL) relaxed its stance on end zone touchdown celebrations. This may be a good thing, or perhaps a moment of advanced recognition for some athletes. Either way, there are a ton of imaginative end zone revelries this year.
But dancing and celebrations as a whole are simply a natural occurrence after securing an important score. Or, any score for that matter.
And before players like Terrell Owens used popcorn, or Victor Cruz performed his salsa dance, the Fun Bunch’s group celebration, Jimmy Graham dunking the goal post, or Jamal Anderson’s dirty bird, touchdown celebrations have always been a fan favorite - and a method for a player’s expression, excitement, and imagination.
