BEREA: Bishop Sankey attended his first Browns game when he was in middle school.
Now the Tennessee Titans starting running back from Wadsworth is on the verge of playing at FirstEnergy Stadium for the first time.
“I can just remember being a kid hoping and dreaming one day maybe I can play on the field,” Sankey said Thursday during a phone interview. “Now it’s come back full circle, so I’m excited.”
Sankey and the Titans (1-0) will visit the Browns (0-1) on Sunday. It’ll be the home opener for the Browns and a homecoming for Sankey, who expects to have a contingent of about 30 friends and relatives in attendance.
